The National Olympic Committee held a meeting with 23 sports federations and associations at the Meridian Hotel in Dubai regarding the design of the statutes of the specific sports federations in accordance with the provisions of the Governance Manual.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed bin Sulayem, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Secretary-General of the General Authority of Sports, Her Excellency Eng. Azza bint Sulaiman, Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the NOC, Mohammed bin Darwish, Executive Director of the NOC, Badr Al Hammadi, representative of the General Authority of Sports, and a large number of representatives of federations, organizations and associations sports.
The meeting began with a speech by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed bin Sulayem, in which he welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their presence, stressing that the next stage of the life of our sport requires concerted efforts from all, and that the issuance of the statutes of sports federations, organizations and associations in agreement with the General Sports Authority would organize work within These federations and the like, which is what pushes them forward, stressing that the doors of the Olympic Committee are open to everyone for any inquiry or advice related to the statute, since the Olympic Committee, federations, organizations and sports associations are in one direction.
Abdul Ghaffar also welcomed the attendees, and thanked them for their efforts during the last period in their federations, stressing the importance of working according to the new governance system to advance the sports system in the country during the next stage.
The meeting reviewed the optimal system for the specific sports federations, which includes all the items and articles that cover the work of the federations in terms of administrative and executive terms and organize work within the boards of directors. The system also touched on the types of authorities in the sports federations.
